The local and national weather media still projects that the New Braunfels area will be heavily affected by Hurricane Ike the morning of Saturday September 13th. After prayer and much discussion we have officially postponed the 3rd Annual David Eikenburg Memorial Bike Ride. The re-scheduled event will be held Saturday November 15th, 2008. Not only did the safety of our riders play a factor in this decision, but also out of respect to the evacuees from Hurricane Ike. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone being affected by this Hurricane. We are still expecting great things to come of the 3rd Annual David Eikenburg Memorial Bike Ride. This ride is to honor our beloved pastor, father, husband, and friend, David Eikenburg, who died tragically in a cycling accident on July 11, 2005. He died doing what he loved, but his first love and passion was to share the love of Jesus.
We would like to honor him with this bike ride, remembering what he loved, and then to glorify God by continuing David's legacy and passion for spreading the Good News to people everywhere.
